Description: Surface Sites Early Buildings Mine Shaft 1
The structure to the right of the tunnel mouth is the rail line that used to run from the Garrick Mine that was on the bank of the creek near Ron Pattel's. A tunnel used to run under the hill near where the State Mine stables were to go across to the Garrick Tunnel. In 1960 the tunnel near the stables was still there and the Garrick Tunnel near Ron Pattel's was still open but has long since silted up.
